Calculating the Average Change

  1. Calculate the Rate of Change RoC = current month balance - previous month balance over the entire period in the dataset.
  2. Calculate the Total Rate of Change Total RoC = RoC~1 + RoC~2 + ... + RoC~n-1 + RoC~n over the entire dataset.
  3. Get the total number of months of the entire period.
  4. Calculate the Average Rate of Change Average RoC = Total RoC / Total Months.
