FYI, here is what I think the problem is: angular/angular#36768 (comment)
Basically,
package.json > modulepoints to a non-existent file (ngx-qrcode2.jsinstead ofindex.js).
We completely refactor this library, using the new Angular Cli releases. This bug will be fixed soon.

I don't know exactly, but we also need this for our apps and migrate to Angular 9 is our priority number one.

Yes no problem but did you advance on that, can you show me the changes here in GitHub?
@techiediaries tomorrow we will push the refactor and you can see the PR. Our idea is also release the code to NPM.
We took a little longer because we have completed the tests 100% and created a complete release system following the standards.
Could you add the CircleCI app to this repo? Our next step includes support to compile, pass the linter and execute the tests.

Hey,
Any updates? I've upgraded my app to angular 9 but had to disable ivy, this is the only issue left in my app in order to finally enable ivy :)

Seems like your workaround works! just need to npm install again.
