Bootstrap yes, but performance will be better by hosting a minimized version in the same domain, and pushing the lot through a CDN (e.g. Cloudfront) which GBIF can do for you. The reason it will be quicker is that the more domains you reference the more DNS lookups the browser makes which adds a few milliseconds...

@timrobertson100, CDN minified vs local minified will indeed make a minor difference, but I'm not sure it will be noticeable for this very basic static website. We are also contemplating hosting from GitHub pages, which would allow to do everything directly from GitHub.

Id prefer a local bootstrap copy in assets over the CDN so it works locally too. The performance of CDN vs github pages should be really minimal on a site like this
