Hello @TkDodo , i tried your reproduction and it works nice and resolve the issue. (and it works even in trpc too :D)
I think you're right its better to let the user handle it instead of adding more logic in the lib.

sorry that direction passed to queryFn doesn't really work - I think in hindsight, it wasn't a good idea to add it because everything can be done with pageParam in user-land.
