It means your NETCONF client is sending improperly formatted messages or simply some redundant characters and libnetconf2 does not like that.

Sathish : Most of the times, netconf client is able to get configuration successfully , Also same get-config command our netconf client will execute in loop.. While executing get-config command in multiple iterations, it is getting timeout.
How we we check improperly formatted message received at the server ?
If libnetconf2 is not liking it why is it not throwing any error
How can we verify this timeout issue from sysrepo server perspective ?
Is there may be any deadlock condition in sysrepo server or netfconf client.?
This issue is related to the below ticket ?

Run the server with -c MSG to see the received messages. You do not see an error because libnetconf2 thinks a new message is being sent but it is not received within the timeout.
