There's no automatic tagging, there's just me doing it as part of my release checklist. Or not, apparently.

So what needs to be done to correct that now? Just place a version tag? What about the automatic st-release commits?
If we don't fix this, docs links from v1.23.4 will always be redirected to "latest".

Hm, shouldn't they ideally go to 1.23.3 as the closest available tag? Might be something to maybe improve on in the future otherwise. Regardless I can push a tag, will do so later.
