Error: "make: *** [Makefile:181: singularity] Error 1" when compiling Singularity about singularity HOT 3 CLOSED

Hello. This isn't a singularity bug - something on your system, or conda, is providing C headers that don't declare O_PATH.

This issue is usually seen on older distributions, such as CentOS / RHEL 6 - but you say you are using Ubuntu 22.04.3?

Perhaps the conda environment is missing some headers, or providing old headers. I believe the conda package sysroot_linux-64 may provide these.

Otherwise, I'd suggest you raise the issue in a conda support area - asking specifically what is required in order to compile software that requires O_PATH to be defined.

Yes, I am using Ubuntu...And sysroot_linux-64 has been already installed in my conda environment, but the problem still exists.
I will raise this question somewhere else, maybe Anaconda platform.
