Consider the anxiety and powerlessness experienced by those who are stranded in a medical emergency. Anything from a catastrophic brain stroke to a major heart arrest qualifies as a medical emergency. When you're watching a loved one suffer, every second may feel like a lifetime. Unfortunately, all one can do while waiting for an ambulance is pray and pull oneself together and stronger. In traffic accidents, the victim's position is considerably worse, and they require rapid medical attention. The speed with which the sufferer receives care is determined by the ambulance.
