Quick-Fix: The app needs building first, there's no bundle files. After it's built with bundle files present then it works for me.
Details:
/bundle.js is requested via the <script tag by the browser, however instead of a 404 not found sirv serves the root /index.html file instead (why?). The browser, thinking it's JavaScript (as it's loaded via a <script tag) throws a SyntaxError at the opening < bracket.
Looking at the network tab, it's the correct type for html Content-Type: text/html though.
Firefox is a little more helpful in this case by providing the warning about the content type match.
