I've added functionality to actually interpret the values. I initially wanted to make the way to specify selects take a record type, and then return the response values as values of that record type, however it would have required using generics or something that I'm not familiar enough with yet. The method I did implement is also a little more flexible with the fields, although it's a little more verbose and a little less certain. I think that the record type method should still be possible so I'll create an issue to try to create that.
