Huh, I've not seen that before.
Normally "unavailable/connection gone" just means the two machines were disconnected, i.e. if one is a laptop and it goes offline.
However, the mirror client should start a periodic ping to the server for "are we connected again?" and reconnect automatically.
Does that happen, i.e. it reconnects after awhile, or do you have to restart the mirror client for it to reconnect?
I've not seen the "client prefix string missing"; I see you have "version unspecified" and so are probably running a build of mirror from master? I wonder if a recent grpc-java version has a bug in it. What commit hash are you using?
