v1.17.0 fails to build on NetBSD about starship HOT 6 CLOSED

Does cargo update -p gix-index fix the build? gix-index v0.27.1 is supposed to fix this issue.

I think I will do a point release, but if it takes too long for the changes to land, don't hesitate to patch the package instead.

Would you like me to patch v1.17.0 locally and update our package or, would you prefer to roll a point release?
Yet, another alternative would be to merge your PR and I could pull the source from a specific commit.

If your PR is merged into the main branch, I can push an update based on a git-tag.
I can do this today, else I'll patch it but, it will be next week, I might have some free time on Wed.
