failed to add rules about scirius HOT 4 CLOSED

When looking at #2 and this bug, I think you have not done things in order. The correct order is:

• Create a source
• Create a ruleset
• Create a suricata

Is this the case ?

PS: I agree that some improvement on error messages could be interesting.

Yes sure - I have not seen this sequence in docs, thanks for clarification.
What if I do not want to use external source for rules at the moment? How do I configure source in this case?
Also - when creating suricata: do I just put arbitrary names in there or I should pick Name to match configuration parameter from somewhere for example?

If you want to use Elasticsearch info, you need to set Suricata name to the hostname of the box.
