I'm not sure. It seems that @spulec hasn't been on GitHub much lately. He's likely the only one who can merge, and push releases. It is possible to reference a git-commit in a requirements.txt
: you may have to do that until he has time to merge/push.

Yeah, that's not great.
I'm working on a new branch (ctypes
) that will solve this problem. It doesn't work with python 3 yet though. If you're using python2, it'd be great to have some people start testing that branch.

I've noticed that datetime
objects created by freezegun can't be pickled:
pickle.PicklingError: Can't pickle <type 'datetime.datetime'>: it's not the same object as datetime.datetime
.
Is that related to the isinstance
issue described here? Seems likely.
from freezegun.
Yes, most likely. You can try the ctypes
branch and see if that gives you any luck.

Any updates on this issue? The core should really return an instance of datetime...
from freezegun.
Not a perfect solution, but it seems like the best one for now.

Any update on this? I'm running into this right now. The ctypes branch hasnt been touched in 5 years

According to my understanding, this was fixed by the referenced commit.

it looks like my issue is with issubclass()
/ not with isinstance()
from freezegun.
It looks like there's also a __subclasscheck__
. Should by fairly easy to follow the same pattern in the commit that @spulec referenced above.

How quickly can we get this merged and pushed to pypi O:)

I am also a contributor that can merge. Unfortunately I can't cut releases to pypi at this time.
