At the beginning, I checked Spring Data JDBC and thought this issue was not fit for this module. I was considering this issue same as spring data jpa project expect data access at the background which is utilizing JDBCTemplate with JPA Annotations. Detecting necessary persistence mapping between database and code could be handled by JPA Annotations. Current status of the Querydsl at JDBC project is not based on annotation as far as I know. Spring Data JPA is so elegant that it is reducing the amount of the code dramatically by annotations and interface base design. Hoping similar usage without persistence units, persistence.xml and dozen unnecessary stuff. By the way, I am ready for further helps. :)

We will look into repository implementations based on JdbcTemplate or similar technologies. But that will be handled by many separate issues here in JIRA.

I don't think we'd reuse JPA annotations since we would have to put a different semantic to them which would be confusing or we would recreate our own JPA implementation
