@thisismana All of the key/value pairs entered at that prompt to cf create-service will be put into the credentials field of the service meta-data, so it is not possible to set a label, tags, etc in a user-provided service instance at this time. In your example, what was expected was that you would enter hostname, port, name, username, password, and uri in response to the What credential parameters... prompt, and then enter the corresponding values for those keys.

There is a story to allow setting tags for user-provided service instances in addition to setting credentials, but that story has not been started yet. In the meantime, you will need to create a custom ServiceInfoCreator class and register it with Spring Cloud to parse the credentials in the way you expect them to appear.

Here is an example of a ServiceInfoCreator that expects a single uri field in the credentials, with a value that starts with mysqlq:: https://github.com/cloudfoundry-samples/spring-music/blob/master/src/main/java/org/cloudfoundry/samples/music/cloud/UserProvidedMysqlServiceInfoCreator.java.
