Hey @adavanisanti
This extension:
- uses newer PayPal API
- also supports Credit Cards via Braintree
- supports PayPal Express Checkout (PayPal button on cart allowing to skip the whole checkout altogether)
from spree_braintree_vzero.
Of course—the simple difference is that paypal does not support payment profiles. This simple missing feature is reason enough to use Braintree over PayPal.

Hi - Could you explain the main differences between this extension and better_spree_paypal_express? One of the problems I saw with better spree paypal: if the customer does not come back from the paypal checkout page and press on complete order then the order state remains inconsistent.
Thanks

Thanks @damianlegawiec and @michaelburtonray for the feedback. Couple of follow up questions on paypal express checkout:
- Since the Paypal express button is on the cart page, customer would not know the shipping charges when he is entering his paypal information. Isn't that confusing?
- Is there a way to let the customer know that the final charges to his/her credit card may change based on the shipping charges in the Paypal screen?
from spree_braintree_vzero.
@adavanisanti
- customer lands on the
confirm
step with all information presented there (like shipping rates and so on) - we don't charge the customer anything unless he or she clicks
place order
onconfirm
screen
