Hi @programB,
I'm finding it a bit strange that you are installing your application as a package during tests, but not when running it. Ideally, you want these two environments to be as similar as possible, so I would choose one or the other:
- Either install your package and use the
RelativeResolver
- Don't install the package and use the default resolver
In the end, this comes down to your PYTHONPATH, which is used to find the module to import, and is different in both cases. If you still want to install your application only when testing, you can manually set the PYTHONPATH in pytest to make it work.
