Once this gets merged, existing users who run into this issue can simply delete the files in /etc/openvpn on their Sovereign server and run the playbook again. This will generate brand new certificates with a five-year expiration date. After the OpenVPN service is restarted, and the new certificates are installed on your clients, you'll be back in business!
I apologize for not catching this during the rewrite. I had no idea that the default expiration date was so short until my phone stopped connecting yesterday :)
