The feature you want is called a prolog in SCOOP. You can pass a prolog file (essentially a shell script) that will be sourced before executing Python on remote hosts. In this shell script, you could for example activate your virtual environment or modify environment variables. You then have to pass the absolute path to your prolog file by adding --prolog <absolute path to prolog file> to your SCOOP launch arguments, before your executable.
You are right, this is not written clearly in the documentation. It will be added soon.
