Why is PIL listed as a dependency? about trackpy HOT 5 CLOSED

Are you referring to the conda install instructions under "For Python Novices"? PIL/Pillow is a dependency (I think an optional dependency) of PIMS, so we want people to install it. It is listed as dependency anywhere else in the README or in setup.py. I am open to any suggestions for how to make that less confusing.

The example I sent you uses scikit-image instead so that I could pull an example image from a URL.

We should spend ten minutes and just write conda packages for PIMS and Trackpy so that your users can do:

conda install trackpy
