I would have prefered a "sent_to" functionnality for example, to send all emails to a specific adress in dev/test environment.
EDIT : Or some "sent_by_smtp" parameters, to be able to use Mailcatcher.
For disabling delivery you can just set a Test Api Key in your test/dev config !
