@naucoin @jcfr I still do not see the extension on the dashboard. Is there a known issue that prevents it from being built?

Hi,

Extension is expected to be available:

http://slicer.cdash.org/index.php?project=Slicer4&filtercount=1&showfilters=1&field1=buildname&compare1=63&value1=SlicerOpenCV

http://slicer.kitware.com/midas3/slicerappstore?os=macosx&arch=amd64&revision=24970&category=&search=OpenCV&layout=layout

http://slicer.kitware.com/midas3/slicerappstore?os=linux&arch=amd64&revision=24970&category=&search=OpenCV&layout=layout

But as indicated in the first link there is a build error on windows:

http://slicer.cdash.org/viewBuildError.php?buildid=793385

Please, confirm that on windows, the OpenCVConfig.cmake file is located in
the folder set in
https://github.com/SBU-BMI/SlicerOpenCV/blob/419589a7f4c67b470d18d55fe47ce97221747e84/SuperBuild/External_OpenCV.cmake#L95

Ps: I will be out of communication for the next few days.

Initial rebuilding in release mode on Yaz (Slicer build is still ongoing but has enough to configure against):

The External_OpenCV.cmake sets the OpenCV_DIR to
D:/NA/SlicerOpenCV-build/OpenCV-install/share/OpenCV
when I built the extension, opencv had three failures due to not finding stdint.h to include, and nothing went into the OpenCV-install dir, just the OpenCV-build dir (which contains OpenCVConfig.cmake).

I'll be back in the office on Tuesday and will keep working on this.

visual studio 2008

@naucoin In that case, I would suggest you install VS2013

from sliceropencv.

fedorov avatar fedorov commented on August 20, 2024

@jcfr does this mean VS2013 is the recommended/required environment for building Slicer?

If yes, we should then update the wiki instructions

@naucoin @jcfr on mac, after installing the extension, I do not see the OpenCV libraries. This does not look right:

jcfr avatar jcfr commented on August 20, 2024

As details in d60feed, the opencv library is statically built. this explained why you don't see it.

update the wiki instructions

Thanks for the note. All set.
