Screen Sharing is unbearably laggy about signal-desktop HOT 5 CLOSED

CPU: Intel i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz 4 Cores 8 Logical Processors (hyperthreading on)
GPU: GTX 1080 with latest drivers (546.33) installed
RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz

Experiencing the same issue myself, with the specs below

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.59 GHz
GPU: GTX 1660 Super with latest drivers version 546.33
RAM: 16GB DDR4

Issue happens to everyone I have added on the app, screensharing is the only thing stopping me from completely moving to signal

@SuperRicky14 @Atomic2ds Thank you for providing your system info. I did some investigation and learned that screenshares limit FPS to 5 by design, because we want to limit bandwidth usage (especially in big calls) and general use cases are supported by lower FPS streaming. (If the FPS is even lower than that, then please generate debug logs and share them with us.)

We would consider revisiting this decision because it would be useful to support high FPS screenshare. (Maybe through screenshare options?)
