Support Node v8

I do agree, but it was chosen due to various reasons (most of them perf wise).

The project chose to support only the Active LTS version of Node. More can be read about that on the FAQ

Node v8 requires a workaround for upgrade requests, since the HTTP subsystem in Node before v9 did not handle upgrade requests correctly. Users that want to use the plugin with Node v8 can do so with the workaround below, but the project doesn't officially support Node v8.

Here is the workaround:

// webpack.config.js
const { ServerResponse} = require('http');

const { WebpackPluginServe: Serve } = require('webpack-plugin-serve');

const options = { ... };
const serve = new Serve(options);

// workaround to pass WebSocket upgrade requests through the koa middleware chain
serve.on('listening', (server) => {
  server.on('upgrade', (req) => server.emit('request', req, new ServerResponse(req)));
});

// webpack config, for example
module.exports = {
  entry: [
    'app.js',
