Yeah I agree this would definitely be preferable. Unfortunately one of the downsides to how I built this (relying on Div tags rather than pure javascript for drawing) makes this pretty difficult.
However, it's inevitable that this will at some point have to be rewritten to support this - single clicking each tile is tedious huh..
Thanks for pointing it out!

With the latest update to Castle Doctrine, this feature just became a lot more important as bigger maps will become the norm. So after I added new tiles I took a few minutes to look into this and figured it out!
I'm going to test it a little more before I go live with it, but you can try it out here: http://develop.castlefortify.com

It's up!

I've noticed a few problems with it:
- When you click and drag, the first tile doesn't get filled in.
- Sometimes it's possible to get it stuck 'on' after releasing the mouse button until the next click. To do this:
- Draw a row of tiles.
- With the same type of tile selected, drag over the same tiles and release.
- Tiles are placed without the mouse pressed.

Awesome - thanks for catching this! The explanation definitely helps me pin it down, appreciate it

Wow, this is so cool.. you guys are like finding things and fixing them before I can even pick up a laptop. Nice!!

Thanks, though I'm sure someone else would have found the issues eventually. I'd consider fixing the issues too, but C++ and Python are more my thing...
By the way, in case you're interested, my handle on the Castle Doctrine forum is Madeus.
Keep up the good work guys!
