Add support for generating non-java output (C++ and Python) about maven-protoc-plugin HOT 5 CLOSED

Protoc configuration has been ported over in 281edcc

from maven-protoc-plugin.

Can you document how this works? I've poked at the source a little bit, and I can't see where or how javaOutputDirectory, pythonOutputDirectory, or cppOutputDirectory get set.

When I supply an "outputDirectory" configuration tag in the POM, I get Java output in that directory. When I supply "javaOutputDirectory" (or the others), I just get Java output in the default directory.

It is not documented for the same reason as this issue is still open: it has not been fully implemented yet. It has been on the wish list for some time, but our project did not need it, and it remained at the bottom of the priority stack.
I think I'll have a go at it tonight, but I shall need your help in testing it in a real world project. Will you be able to build and test a snapshot of the plugin when I commit the changes?
