@samdark thanks for the report! It review this asap. I can confirm that Galaxy Note 10.1 is detected as mobile but not tablet.

In 2.5.3 I've updated the Samsung tablets regex. Also checked with the updates on BrowserStack, it looks like they are using generic SDK User-agent strings, this is why the script is unable to detect the tablets.

still seems like this is an issue on browserstack...if im using mobile detect, samsung devices are detected as mobile... but if i use device type, all devices come back as desktop.

is this specific to browserstack?

Happened to me too now. I wanted to send different output based on device category, but if I acciddently send phone html to a tablet that won't be good :X

I checked the useragents of galaxy tabs / notes and in mobile detect it actually detects as tablet but I'm not sure if this is browserstack issue (becuase they use emulator on those devices) or because chrome/stock browser differences.

Anyone have any idea how to confirm that?
