I find the scrolling speed quite fast already. The code is currently using the default animation speed of ExtJS, which is 250ms. Making it even faster would make the scrolling almost invisible. So the question can be only about turning the scrolling off completely.

The scrolling was really useful in an earlier revision where we didn't have the highlighting of the item we scrolled to. But maybe for now it's better to only have the highlighting.

I'll do some testing and we'll see how it feels.

OK, I just committed a revision 1e76112 where scrolling is turned off completely. You can try it out if you want.
