I ran this for several hours on my linux desktop, testbed-xp2, and testbed-mac without replicating this behavior. Perhaps this happens when the hosts IP changes? If we can confirm this then this ticket is very low priority (not this release).

THis error was occurring when the nodemanager was moving between forwarders (due to an error at the initial forwarder) and an error occured while establishing a connection to the second forwarder.
I corrected this by making nat_waitforconn try again with another forwarder if an error occurs during connection setup.
