Testing on GHC 8.0.2 with the necessary modifications to compile, I cannot reproduce:

Of course, this is an old bug report; I'm mostly just posting this to restore some faith for those considering using the library.

Sorry, I figured out I was using a really out of date version of the library due to some stack problems. Closing.
