So this is a bad error message. It happens in three separate situations:

• Mega.nz is having an outage (which seems to be rare lately, but was apparently semi-common in 2019/2020, especially outside North America). The error message was written in a way to get people to try again in a couple hours.
• You are having a separate network issue (ex: mobile hotspot) that is interfering with large downloads.
• The launcher's working directory is not writable (usually because YandereSimulatorLauncher.exe is running inside YandereSimLauncher.zip, and some unzip utilities tell the launcher that its working directory is the system folder, which is not writable because I don't request Admin).

The typical fix is to unzip YandereSimLauncher into a new folder (ex: YsLauncherExtract) using right-click > extract all... and running YandereSimulatorLauncher.exe from that new folder.

The game should install into a folder called YandereSimulator that's beside YandereSimulatorLauncher.exe.

This feature is so that, if you extract YandereSimulatorLauncher.exe onto a USB drive, the game will install there.

I tried to poke this error in other ways by, for example, warning the user if they're running in System32, but the better way would be to try:

• Test-writing a text file to see if I have write access before queuing the download AND/OR
• If I fail to write, try downloading to Program Data. That would be a bit flimsy because the user might eventually unzip the launcher, so I'd need to decide whether to choose the working directory copy or the Program Data copy, etc.

... but that's just programmer thoughts. Unzipping YandereSimLauncher.zip is the correct path.
