Yesterday I integrated ShowdownJS to convert markdown to HTML which supports checkboxes. Unfortunately the QML Text elements HTML support is to basic so I have to find an alternative.

For the rest Sowdown seems to do a good job.

There are still some issues. E.g. when checking multiple items while the sync is still running.
I hope to resolve this with the offline support.
