algorithms-and-data-structures icon algorithms-and-data-structures

This repository contains the ruby implementation of various data structures and algorithms. It contains tests and uses services objects to ensure models remain skinny, which means that it reflects how I write code.

bulk-smash icon bulk-smash

This app allows users to create a friends list containing individuals who they live close to or work with. Each user creates a grocery list, and the app then finds all items that the user has in common with his or her friends. Afterward, the app will recommend that the users purchase these common items as a bulk purchase and recommends how much each user should contribute towards the purchase and what his or her share of the goods should be.

chat_client icon chat_client

This is a chat client that I am building with meteor, a javascript framework for making realtime apps. It is still a work in progress.

food-hero icon food-hero

This is a sample rails app that will eventually allow users to create new recipes, set the frequency for eating each recipe, and automatically generate shopping lists.

git-logger icon git-logger

This app allows users to insert hashtags into their issue comments on Github. It then finds those hashtags and records all the user's repos where the tag is used. Then, users can write wiki entries for each tag they created to record their opinions and thought processes.

git_tags icon git_tags

This app allows users to add twitter style hash tags to their commit messages, and then lookup commits with particular tags and follow a link to the commit using the app. NOTE: This is a work in progress. It is no-where near complete.

gitvision icon gitvision

This app helps users log the issues in Github repositories that they have created and easily search them. This way, the developer can find earlier apps that he or she worked on that involved similar challenges to whatever he or she is working on now.

kickball icon kickball

This is a repository for a simple website generated dynamically from the contents of a csv file. It is not refactored and it includes two test files that are not used in the final version (get_data.rb and get_data2.rb)

microscope icon microscope

This repository is a meteor.js tutorial that I am currently working through. It is still a WIP.

minesweeper icon minesweeper

This repository contains a hard version of Minesweeper. I wrote all of the methods used in minefield.rb, but I did not write minesweeper.rb.
