Intro screen information:

  • Video explaining program/what to do
  • Complete the pre-requisite courses
  • Engl& 101, Cmst& 220, Engl 128 and Math 070
  • New students to GR apply at: https://www.public.ctc.edu/ApplicantWebClient/Applicant/ApplWelcome.aspx
  • Have a minimum college-level cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Submit Official Transcripts (in original sealed envelopes) for all non-Green River courses to The Office of the Registrar
  • Transcript Evaluation Request form must then be submitted with "Official Transcripts" (sealed in original envelopes) to the Registrar prior to applying to the NATRS AAS.
  • All unofficial transcripts (including Green River if applicable)–Even though you may have submitted official transcripts to the Registrar, you still need to submit unofficial transcripts with this packet. These can be photocopies.

Once the applicant clicks "apply", the following happens:

  1. Read introductory information (.docx's from Monica).
  2. Upload all necessary files (letter's of recommendation, transcript, etc).
  3. Fill out application.
  4. Complete one of the following:
    • Option 1: Submit a 3-5 min video
      • Include video instructions and video upload instructions in a dropdown of they choose to do the video option
    • Option 2: Complete a volunteer event within the natural resources field
      • You will have to include a 1-3 page write up regarding the event, what you completed and what you learned. Please include at least one photo of yourself participating in the event. (Examples: WTA trail clearing event, stream restoration event with a city or county entity, volunteering at a fish hatchery, etc.)
    • Option 3: Completion of a GRC NATRS Immersion Event (subject to school approval due to COVID-19)
      • The Immersion Events consist of a 6 hour on campus Q & A about the program/history/student resources/student expectations followed by a trail hike throughout the campus onsite forest or an on-campus work project (invasive species removal, trail clearing project, wood stacking, hazard tree assessment, etc).
