Thanks @glettl for the suggested change. I have just made a commit which adds instructions to the README and also a commented-out hint in the example should someone be targeting SDK level 34.
@jhonatan-3a yes, it is an easy fix, you just need to edit your AndroidManifest.xml file by adding this new permission mentioned above in the same place where it says to add the other two permissions in your manifest.
