I looked into virtual libraries. They are implemented as searches in the Calibre search dialect. Supporting them would mean to re-implement (and maintain) that search language in PHP. So that won't happen anytime soon, unfortunately.

Are there still no plans for this feature? Right now, filtering is only possible by tag and by language. What I need is a filter by a custom field, which does not seem possible right now...
