Probably a longshot...:) - Email Books? about bicbucstriim HOT 7 CLOSED

May I ask, why you just download the books directly to the Kindle? It works, even with my old Kindle Keyboard.

I travel a lot for work and am rarely connected to my home network workstations. I use a VPN tunnel to my home network when I am remote and add books through the send to kindle function instead of connecting directly. This may be an outlier case from the way others use the software.

@rvolz, Interesting, because since version 1.0.0 of BicBucStriim, I can't open the bbs site, with the built-in Kindle browser anymore... ?!

@TheBuzzDee: I run the 1.0 version on my NAS and there the Kindle still works. It's a Kindle 3G.

I've got the "old" Kindle (this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008GG93YE/ref=kindle_dp_comp) and when I try to open BBS on my Syno-NAS, it doesn't work: "Site cannot be opened"...
I'll do some tests to figure out what's going wrong.

This was my own stupidity.....I made the (bad) assumption that the sorry Kindle web browser would not understand the site. It works perfectly on my device (old Kindle Touch) and I can download that way. I am going to put an SSL cert on the NAS and then nat it through the firewall. I think this issue can be closed as un-needed. Thanks.
