I think the medium term hope is to get all of the concepts demonstrated in minihttp included in Hyper itself, though there could be value in keeping the mini version around for learning.

I think including it in Hyper is a great idea. However having a small HTTP library which has a smaller amount of feature would be a great value too. I imagine it like what Node.js' http module provides, you may not build a big web-application with that but when working with "raw" HTTP is needed I think it's a good compromise.

@pmarino90 out of curiosity, what do you think Hyper provides that isn't raw enough?

@carllerche of course nothing I was just confusing Hyper with Iron 😅

@pmarino90 I believe @carllerche is definitely right, the concepts are intended most definitely be incorporated elsewhere. Currently there are no plans for minihttp itself to become a full-fledged library of any kind, but we'll soon have more news about how the abstractions will be available!

@alexcrichton, got it! From what I saw (benchmarks and the API itself) it would be a great improvement to other libraries!
I think I can close this 😄
