This appears to be a problem with cargo. See this post for more details PistonDevelopers/graphics#553 (comment)
from cargo.
Is it possible that git
is not installed?
from cargo.
git is installed and working correctly.
from cargo.
The problem is when specifying git sources with a trailing /
:
git = "https://github.com/pistondevelopers/piston/"
That doesn't work. This does:
git = "https://github.com/pistondevelopers/piston"
from cargo.
This issue may not actually be cause by trailing /
. There is another rev-parse
error that occurs when packages don't agree on the capitalization of source URLs, so e.g. when some people use PistonDevelopers
and others use pistondevelopers
.
