Thanks for pointing that out. I'd like to track the stable releases for now, rather than the weeklies. It's easy enough for weekly trackers to use gofix (as you point out) and they are the most likely to understand that, but it is harder to go back. Blackfriday would not work with Google App Engine if I moved it forward, since it is based on a stable release.

Hopefully these problems will mostly go away when Go 1 is released.

Go Weekly's now don't change much from week to week, they just fix bugs and such, wouldn't a weekly branch will be Ok? I mean, weekly is basically Go 1, so when they decide just to rename it, blackfriday will work almost immediatly.

I've made the switch: blackfriday is now tracking the weeklies toward Go 1.
