It seems like this works just fine by skipping the prompt via the --urls
flag, but it would be nice to be able to do this interactively.

With this workaround does this mean that there can only be up to two aliases (program.exe
and ./program.exe
)? If so, that just means adding an extra prompt for the second one (but specifying that it's a workaround and unless it's needed, one should suffice)

Maybe something like .\program.exe
or ./././program.exe
will work too, allowing for unlimited aliases 🙂

Do those work for sure?

One consideration is that microsoft/winget-cli#2887 treats the functionality as a bug at the moment, meaning the manifest created would be invalid in the future.

Haven't tried yet, but I guess it would.

So would they remove manifests in the repo currently using the "bug?" At least they should provide a proper solution for multiple aliases before they fix it.
