I found that npm sometimes does things badly ... does repeating the install process help? Please try to install it several times.

I tried three times and gave up :(
Then I just downloaded the zip from Github, which already has the PNG files I wanted, so I'm fine.

Should work with newly published version (actually I just republished ...):
sudo port install librsvg
font-awesome-svg-png --sizes 32,64 --color yellow
from font-awesome-svg-png.
