Sounds like it would be most practical to just get rid of all the generics, if we only have two actual use cases and in one we want to verify what comes after :
against a list of allowed characters, in the other there should be no validation.

Does this refer to the K
in KeyId<K, A>
? A
is still necessary as we're using KeyId
to alias OwnedDeviceSigningKeyId
and OwnedServerSigningKeyId
.

OwnedDeviceSigningKeyId
is actually unused in Ruma, we use OwnedDeviceKeyId
instead. So we can get rid of it, and of KeyId
, so that OwnedServerSigningKeyId
is its own type without using generics.
