I could see this being nice to have. It sounds like the project-specific plugin model feature idea (#10) would offer this functionality as well. For now, I'd probably stick to keeping your own set of aliases for common commands you use.

Decided to not bundle in this functionality with the project plugin/extension model - I figure this is something that shouldn't need the overhead of writing additional command code to accomplish, so this will be something that can be pulled out of the package.json and preprocessed.
I have a simple proof of concept working in a branch, just needs to be tested a bit more.
