Just tried this locally and it seems to work:

Is there more you could tell me about how you're running it? What time zone are you in and which browser?

Hi David!

Thanks for the reply.

Today I've been testing some more and strangely it seems to be working correctly. I have no idea why. This is what was happening to me yesterday, if it helps you pinpoint the issue ...

I installed SmartBlocks v2 to run R.J. Nestor's Recurring Actions workflow detailed here, but immediately noticed it wasn't pulling the correct tasks based on the DNP. It always seemed to be a day behind the DNP where I was running the workflow.

I created 'Date test v1' and 'Date test v2' with the workflow listed in my original post (in other words, identical apart from the fact that one was using SmartBlocks v1 and the other SmartBlocks v2) and ran them both on some random Daily Note Pages. And I was getting these kinds of results (that's v2 on the first line, v1 on the second):

And here's just v2:

This was happening both in the Roam MacOS Desktop app, as well as in the Brave browser.

I think you may be on to something with the time zones. I'm in Melbourne, Australia, so that's AEST (GMT+11). So we're always a little ahead of the States. Would that explain why the SmartBlock was thinking it was 'yesterday'? It's worth pointing out that the time stamp on my Roam blocks has always looked to be accurate.

Anyway, I might get the Recurring Actions SmartBlock to print today's date for awhile before I'm confident that it's working okay and I'm not missing anything.

I can't seem to reproduce even with setting my machine to your timezone.

If the issue persists - feel free to set up a time to debug next week at http://calendly.com/dvargas92495/roamjs

Really appreciate you trying to track this down, David. Since we last spoke it's been working perfectly for me. I have no idea if this could be a factor, but it's worth pointing out that I had just installed Smartblocks v2 when I was having this problem. From the following day onwards it's been absolutely fine. I don't know if it's possible it needed time to propagate through my graph?

Anyway, if it returns I'll let you know, but right now it's flawless. Thanks so much for your incredible work on this.
