To get around this on OS X, you can run this in a terminal:

defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false

Note that this will disable built-in the accent picker.

In my environment, key repeat works well. It may occur in specific environment.

And although this is just information, if you're using nyaovim in tmux, you need to use reattach-to-user-namespace. Without it, Electron application causes a problem on keyboard input.

@rhysd Thank you for the suggestion. I am reluctant to break functionality elsewhere to get this working as at some point in the future I may want the accent picker functionality back and will have forgotten that I disabled it. It should be able to work without resorting to disabling the accent picker.

@mikew Thank you for the suggestion - I already use reattach-to-user-namespace.
