Created an automated ETL pipeline for the City of Phoenix that pulls financial City Checkbook data from their Open Data Portal and stores it in an AWS S3 object before being loaded into a PostgreSQL database that exists on an AWS EC2 instance. The ETL process is directed by Apache Airflow so that tasks can be monitored. Eventually Spark will be used to apply an ML model and the results will be displayed on an interactive web dashboard through a Plotly Flask application hosted on Heroku.

Real-time private sector data related to consumer spending, average time outdoors, unemployment claims, and Covid case rates used to examine economic impact of Covid through Plotly visualizations which highlight changes in employment rates, consumer spending, and Covid case rates vs. time outside home.
