This project has seen no activity in four months whatsoever about maynard HOT 5 CLOSED

So what is the status of this project now? Will someone continue to work on this? An updated install instruction would be nice.

i would like to see Maynard finished. It seems people have interest, but nobody is doing anything to improve the code.

I don't see how forking would solve that in any way. If anyone wants to
contribute code, they're completely and entirely welcome to do so. Is there
anything in particular you would like to work on?

Considering it is under Raspberry Pi organization control, they might be busy so that was my main concern. I have been attempting to create an xsessions file for the past couple hours, and have not got it to work; Maynard instead crashes and drops me back to the login prompt. It also is an overlay on top of whatever it is launched from, which is not bypassable by going to other ttys.

Speaking of, I should log an issue for it.
