I've just pushed a branch at kbingham/qcam-toolbar.
https://github.com/raspberrypi/libcamera/commits/kbingham/qcam-toolbar
This is a still really a work-in-progress, proof-of-concept - but I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts and opinions on testing it.
Note there's a reasonably big hack in the save jpeg implementation where I take a direct copy of the 'current' viewfinder image without locking or such.
That's just a shortcut for the moment, perhaps I presume we will want to extend the qcam to support multiple streams and have a StreamRole::StillCapture stream so that the save image button actually gets the next request to queue up a full image buffer on the StillCapture stream, which will be written when it comes back in a similar fashion.
Of course that adds latency, but we can think about ZSL separately.
Anyway, would something along these lines this satisfy RPi's early/initial requirements for this part?

This initial tool bar and 'saveAs' support has been pushed to master.
Still work to do but it's a step forwards
